Most leagues are scored using “Ranked Categories” – also known as “Rotisserie Style” Scoring.
We have dozens of categories to choose from – and you can even create your own! Here are listings of the most popular categories – if you want to create a custom category, see the information provided Below
If you want to use any of these popular categories you can simply check them off on the registration form – there is even a convenient single checkbox for the Standard 4×4 and 5×5 styles. If you want to add a custom category there is a text field on the registration form to indicate the formula you want to use.
Pure Point Systems – Some leagues simply award fantasy points for performance instead of ranking categories (for example, one point for a single, two points for a double, etc). We can handle these leagues as well. There is a checkbox on the registration form to indicate that you are a point-based league – you can use the Scoring Comment text field to describe how points are tallied. Be sure to review the Baseline Stats below to insure that the stats you need are included in our library.

Any Custom Category can easily be created if it is composed from the library of baseline stats that we track. Below you will find a list of these baseline stats.
A Custom Category must be expressed as a simple mathematical statement consisting of any of the four basic math operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and any of the the stats listed below. All of the popular categories listed above are created this way – for example, Batting Average is simply [Hits / At Bats].
A couple restrictions apply: First – You cannot combine batting and pitching stats into a single category for a Rotisserie-style ranked category. However, if you use a pure point system, the overall point total for a team will be generated by adding all the batting points and all the pitching points. Second – You cannot use any conditionals in the mathematical expression of the category – you cannot use “If-Then-Else”-type logic or any use of “greater than” or “less than” in the formula.
